'Swim Out to Your Ship- don't wait for it to come to you;' I came across this quote many years ago when I was running some training programmes out in the Far East. I was borrowing an office & when looking for some material I found a book of quotes sitting on the bookshelf. I hadn't heard it before, but I thought it was an interesting way of looking at things. I stored it in the back of my mind. A few years ago the Sahara Team were developing a new personal development programme & the quote popped back into my head - it seemed to fit the ideas we were working with - so it became the title. 'thoroughly enjoyed the course - gave me confidence, inspiration & motivation' 'the course gave me the tools & systems to help me be more effective & focus on what is important' |

We usually run the programme twice a year in a beautiful hotel, by the beach in Penang. However we have no dates booked for 2010, as we thought we would wait for the economy to pick up! But if you are interested in knowing more or attending our next course - let us know. If enough people want a course then we will put one on. 'the course was enhanced by taking place in Penang, being out of 'comfort zones' was a definate plus. Great group of people & trainers. A once in a lifetime experience' |
| What is the programme format? |
|---|
In Penang we run the programme Monday - Friday, from 9.30am - 12.30 pm. There is link work for each participant to complete between each course day. This leaves the afternoons & evenings free for you to explore the many interesting sites in Penang; you might want to visit the Pagoda, a large Buddhist Temple, or have afternoon tea in the Eastern & Oriental Hotel, (see the picture), which is like been taken back in time - in style; you will certainly want to visit the night market & have dinner at the hawker stalls selling such an array of local food you would have to stay for 3 months to try it all! And the exchange rate makes your pound go a long way.

View of the beach very close to where we run the Swim Out to Your Ship course. It is called Batu Ferringhi because of the big rocks that you can see in the picture. Further along the bay one way is the 'night market' that appears every night and where there are so many eating places, from resturants to the famous eating stalls that you will be spolit for choice. In the other direction is the town where there are shopping malls to rival the best in the UK& other parts of the world, you can get a Starbucks or a Costa coffee as you shop or visit the Chicken Rice shop that sells authentic Chinese cooking, or you can visit the 'old town' with traditional shops and eating places. Penang has everything anyone could want! |
