Sandy Leong

We would like to introduce you to the Sahara Team.

Sandy Leong Director & Head of Training
Sandy set up Sahara Consultancy almost 20 years ago. She came from a teaching background before moving into the Voluntary Sector nearly 30 years ago, where she initially carried out a number of developmental roles, including as a Development & Training Manager for a Voluntary Action and as Racial Equality Officer managing a Racial Equality Council. She has been involved in the sector in a voluntary capacity over the years and is currently Chair of Voluntary Action Charnwood. She specialises in personal development and training trainers. She is a published author of the book 'How to Develop a Talent for Training' and many training manuals. She is an active public speaker and Vice President of Loughborough Speakers Club.

Gerri Bright

Gerri Bright - Senior Trainer
Gerri has experience in nursing, youth work, community development & social work, in both statutory & voluntary sectors, & as a university lecturer. Her varied background informs her training & consultancy in many areas & her continued involvment in the voluntary & community sectors ensures her awareness of new developments, legislation & practice. She is a NLP Master Practichioner & qualified coach.

 

 

David Sharples

David Sharples Senior Trainer
David started out his training career in the private sector with one of the major financial institutions; he moved into the Voluntary Sector about 14 years ago. David specialises in the many areas around Volunteer Management, but also has considerable interest in personal development. His practical, enthusiastic approach to training & the Voluntary Sector make him popular both locally & nationally.
